City Vino - Jersey City, NJ

Fabulous little wine bar with some very tasty Peruvian inspired tapas. The wine list is extensive and unique and so is the menu. Options include culinary treats from South America, Italy and France and the Wine list spans the globe. It seems almost misplaced... like it should be somewhere in Manhattan and exiting the establishment to the baron ghost town that is Jersey City's waterfront at night, is almost dreamlike in that you expect more noise, congestion and bums. The wait staff, while often hard to get a hold of, was very knowledgeable of the menu items and wines they offered. The Stuffed peppers were delectable and truly a meal unto themselves. This is a fabulous little date spot that should not be missed. If you're not hungry just go for a glass of vino and enjoy the decor.

Best thing on the menu: The Empanadas
